U.S. equities closed in the green despite significant declines in the morning following declines of more than 2% in Asia and 1% in Europe, as rates rose globally ahead of U.S.-China talks next week. In commodities, agriculture and energy rose marginally, while there was significant profit-taking in gold and silver that led them to fall 2% and 4%, respectively.

Venezuelan bonds retreated 0.50pts from yesterday's highs, although remaining in demand at current levels pending news. Earlier in the day, Trump said that the US shot down a drug submarine, as well as saying that Maduro had "offered the US everything".

In Argentina, bonds fell 1.5-2pts and the peso devalued more than 3%, leaving the ARS/USD at 1463 and the BCS at 1538; the rest of the region's bonds closed between flat and +0.25pts.
