Sales continue in US technology and growth equities, with the Nasdaq falling more than 2% before recovering and closing down 1.5%. Earlier, Asia and Europe closed mixed at 0.75%. Treasuries closed flat, while in Europe sovereign bonds recovered, with yields falling 3bps. In commodities, crude oil rose 2% and metals and agriculture closed mixed at 1%. VIX stable at 19.
Venezuelan bonds remain in demand, rising 0.5 points for sovereign bonds and between 0.5 and 0.8 points for PDVSA bonds, with high-yield bonds rising further.
Few changes in Latin American credit ratings, with a notable 0.5-point drop in El Salvador.
