Daily commentary for February 11, 2026.
Treasuries gave back some of yesterday's gains, reacting to a strong jobs report that caused a bear steepener, with short-term yields rising 6bps and long-term yields rising 3bps; in Europe, yields fell 2-3bps. In equities, results were mixed globally but with little variation. On the commodities side, crude oil rose 1-2%, similar to metals, and agriculture varied 0.5%.
Venezuelan bonds remain in demand, also seeing a rebound in volume, with both curves rising by an average of 0.5 points, and seeing more demand for high-coupon bonds.
In Latin American credit, El Salvador rose 0.75 pts on average and the Dominican Republic fell 0.35 pts after yesterday's new issuance of almost $3 billion at 8 and 12 years.
