Asia led the start of the week, with both the Nikkei and Hang Seng rising more than 1%, while in Europe and the US, equity indices posted modest gains. In fixed income, Treasuries saw a slight bear steepener, with long bonds falling further, dismissing the noise caused by the Trump administration's demand to the Fed for the cost of renovating its buildings. In commodities, energy rose 1%, gas 6% similar to silver, and gold 2%, with the latter two hitting historic highs. The VIX rose to 15.11 and the dollar depreciated 0.2% to 98.9 DXY.

Venezuelan bonds closed with losses of 1-1.5 points after the US government issued an executive order over the weekend to protect oil sale proceeds from creditors, leading themarketto compare it to the restructuring in Iraq, where a similar measure was taken.

Latin American credits saw declines of 0.1-0.5 points with relatively low volumes.
