August 5, 2025
August closed with new records in the US stock markets and an increasingly favorable environment for rate cuts in September. For the fourth consecutive month, the main indexes accumulated gains: the S&P 500 reached record highs and ended close to 6,500 points (+2.03% in the month), driven by expectations of monetary easing. The Dow Jones advanced
+3.42% and the Nasdaq Composite +1.65%. Smaller cap companies also stood out: the Russell 2000 rebounded +7.00%, narrowing the gap against large caps.
